One Piece, Lorcana and Magic pack opening streams: what to know

Beyond Pokémon: how One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Magic: The Gathering products differ, and how to run a good opening stream for each.

Pokémon may be the biggest name in pack opening streams, but it is far from the only one. One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Magic: The Gathering all have audiences who love watching packs opened live. Each game has its own products and rhythm, and knowing them helps you run a better stream.

One Piece Card Game

The One Piece Card Game has grown quickly and has a strong collector following, with chase cards built around the series' characters. Booster boxes typically hold 24 packs, each with around a dozen cards.

On stream: fewer packs per box than Pokémon makes a full box opening shorter, which suits a box break with fewer spots.

Disney Lorcana

Lorcana brings Disney characters to a trading card game, with foil variants and enchanted rares that collectors chase. Booster packs hold 12 cards, and booster boxes typically 24 packs.

On stream: the artwork is a big part of the appeal, so a sharp, glare-free overhead shot matters even more. Show each card long enough to be seen.

Magic: The Gathering

Magic is the oldest of the big trading card games, with a large and long-standing player base. It has several booster types: Play Boosters, the main pack for most sets, typically come 36 to a box, while Collector Boosters are pricier packs full of foils and special versions, typically 12 to a box.

On stream: Magic audiences often care about playable cards as much as rare ones, so explaining why a card matters goes down well. Collector Boosters make big moments; Play Boosters make volume.

What stays the same across games

  • An overhead camera and soft light without glare.
  • Showing sealed product and opening it on camera.
  • A visible order queue, so every buyer knows their turn.
  • Sleeving hits on camera and shipping carefully.

StreamQueue works the same whichever game you open: the queue for pack opening streams, sale alerts, the box break tracker and a pack counter where you set how many packs each product holds.

Should you open more than one game?

Mixing games can widen your audience, but it can also blur what your stream is about. Many streamers keep one main game and run special streams for another. Whatever you choose, tell viewers in the title so the right people click.
