Box breaks
Fill and run box breaks on stream
A break only starts when the spots are sold. StreamQueue shows how many are taken and how many are left, right on your stream, and then walks you through the break one buyer at a time.

Without it
- “How many spots are left?” every other minute
- Buyer names in a notes app that only you can see
- Nobody knows when the break will actually start
- You lose track of whose spot you have opened
With StreamQueue
- Spots taken and spots left are on screen while the break fills
- Every buyer is listed by name, in the order you choose
- When it starts, the break takes over the overlay
- Tick off each buyer as you open their spot
How a box break runs with it
- 1
Create the break
Give it a name and the number of spots. It shows above your queue on stream, with a bar that fills as spots sell.
- 2
Add the buyers
Type each buyer in as they pay. Viewers see the count go up and how many spots are left. Start when it is full, or start early.
- 3
Run it live
The overlay switches to the list of buyers. Tick each one off as you open their spot, then end the break and your queue is back.
What you get for breaks
Spots left, on screen
A live count and progress bar, so viewers can see the break filling and how close it is to starting.
Up to 200 spots
From a small pack break to a full case. Change the number of spots later if you need to.
Your order
Move buyers up or down before you start, so the list matches the order you will open in.
Queue kept safe
The normal queue is paused while a break runs. Everyone waiting is still there when you finish.
Same overlay
Breaks use the Browser Source you already have in OBS. There is nothing new to add to your scene.
Matches your look
The break follows the design and colours you picked for your queue.
Questions people ask
- What is a box break?
- In a box break, several buyers each pay for a share of one sealed box, often called a spot. The streamer opens the box live and each buyer gets the cards from their share.
- How do viewers see how many spots are left?
- While the break is filling it sits at the top of your queue overlay, with the number of spots taken, the total and a bar that fills as you add buyers.
- Can I start a break before it is full?
- Yes. You can start early with the buyers you have, as long as there is at least one.
- What happens to my normal queue during a break?
- It is paused and hidden while the break is on screen. Nothing is lost: everyone waiting is back in the same order when you end the break.
- Do I need a separate overlay for breaks?
- No. The break shows in the same Browser Source as your queue, so there is nothing to change in OBS.
- Does it pick teams or randomise spots?
- No. StreamQueue tracks who is in the break and whose spot has been opened. You decide who gets what, the way you already do.
